Here I portrayed a Russian Secret Service Agent (GRU) in the final episode of Homeland (season 8) - Prisoners of War. This episode of Homeland aired April 26, 2020 and stars Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Hugh Dancy, Beau Bridges and many others. This was a fun opportunity to be a part of a small group and work close with this episode's lead actors.
On the second day of shooting, because there were only a couple of us Background actors, Russian Agents, we were place in the same holding room as some of the lead actors and allowed to eat with the cast and crew as well. Something you never really get a chance to do as a Background actor, so I really enjoyed it. I felt important and part of the team. Also, I got to talk shop with some of the actors about their prior work. Although one actor did pick up her chair and move to the other side of the room (which from that time forward became the 'NON-Background Actor' side of the room) it was still such a great experience and gave me a taste of the "next" level of working in the entertainment business . . . better holding room chairs.
In this scene of Homeland - Prisoners of War, Mirov is exiting the Elevator at the UN Building with his Secret Service Agents and spots Anna Pomerantseva and Scott Ryan as they are trying to exit the building. Scott has been tipped off that Mirov is in the building. As Scott tries to get Anna to safety, they are hunted down by Mirov’s GRU agents.
